Noel Murphy B.E. (Civil)

Noel is a Director, Principal Consultant, founder and 50% shareholder of Leaders Edge.

After graduating from the University of Melbourne, Noel worked initially in the Queensland coal mining industry and then joined BHP Petroleum in 1980.

His 34 year career has had a twofold focus:

• Coal mining
• Design and construction of development infrastructure
• Mine planning and management
• Petroleum development infrastructure
• Offshore
• Sub sea
• Pipelines
• Onshore production plants and related facilities.

Through a related company, Leaders Engineering Pty Ltd, Noel also designs and develops specialist wine making equipment and has operated a stainless steel fabrication business.

Noel’s particular knowledge relates to developing and implementing management strategies for complex and unusual projects and for developing strategies for rectifying troubled projects.
